They must have the opportunity to play, be creative, and be physically active on the playground, where they get to run, climb, and explore. Even though screens are a staple of contemporary culture, there are health advantages to limiting screen time, such as better physical health, a decline in obesity, and more time for play.

Set a different location for devices

Too much screen time can affect a child’s ability to learn, disrupt their sleep, and increase their risk of becoming obese. It is particularly true for kids who spend a lot of time studying on computers and tablets. It’s crucial to engage in some exercise during break times. Select educational programmes, games, and applications that can help reinforce learning and encourage creative play. So even if they are getting screen time, it is beneficial for their personal growth.

Let them get bored

If you limit your child’s screen time, they will inevitably whine that they are bored. Ask your child to feel at ease throughout the boring span. Our brains operate in a default state that helps enhance several crucial abilities, such as self-awareness and empathy. Therefore, allow your kids to become bored rather than coming up with another educational project to keep them occupied. Also, your kids should be fully aware of the repercussions of breaking the screen time guidelines. It can involve a loss of privileges for a few hours, days, or even weeks.
